Did I do something wrong? Am I just supposed to leave the refresh rate where it is? Like. I have it running in compatibility mode, DirectX 9.0 is already installed, my game files are verified and working. No one else is having this problem either, that I could find on Google (or really anywhere else). ![]() I have no idea what's happening, or how to fix it. I have to switch to a second desktop to even do anything, and I still can't get it to quit without restarting my entire desktop. It's stuck on top of every other application, and I can't even ALT-F4 out. The entire game goes black, as if it's changing, brings up the menu once again in high quality (no longer fuzzy or "vibrating"), but I can't click on anything, there's no sound, and I can't alt-tab away to another application. My aspect ratio is set to auto, which is fine, I try changing to to 16:9 and it works. I go to options to check out the graphics/display settings. It starts extremely fuzzy-looking despite being in 1920x1080 (my screen resoultion), and a lot of the settings and static assets are vibrating (yes, vibrating, like they aren't still? idk how to explain it). My settings are standard, my freshrate is 59 (my screen's refresh rate). The setup menu opens (the one before you open the game that gives you a bunch of settings). My specs: AMD Radeon GPU, AMD Ryzen CPU, 16GBs of ram. I am having the weirdest time with the PC version of Tomb Raider: Anniversary, and I can't, for the life of me, figure out what is happening. The levels will be listed in the story order so they're easier to find. There is no correct order though, so deal with them as you wish. Lost Island next for the Golden Shotgun and Silver SMGs cheats (quicker kills) and finally Peru for Infinite. Greece would be next as having all weapons available is ideal for the Lost Island levels, and infinite shotgun ammo is always fun. You also get infinite SMG ammo afterwards, meaning you can just unload into future enemies without worrying about ammo either. I would say that completing the Egypt Time Trials first would be best as infinite health means not worrying about damage from enemies or falling, meaning less dodging and climbing down. The best order to complete the Time Trials in is debatable, based on the cheats you unlock after beating them, as the cheats are then able to be used in the other Time Trials, making them easier. On several occasions, I completed the levels with no more than 1 minute to spare, which after 27 minutes of effort is a bit too tight. The Time Trials are tricky, there's probably a couple of minutes leeway on the longer levels, and only up to 30 seconds on the shorter ones. It's a one run go, and the timer doesn't stop if you die. You can't reload checkpoints like the main game. With infinite health enabled, you can avoid most fights in the game, though some will need to be fought as the enemies' presence will hinder certain task such as moving objects. If not dying actually causes you a delay (top of a long climb for example), disable the cheat mid-fall to revert to the last checkpoint if it's more convenient. ![]() ![]() Once you unlock infinite health, if you accidentally fall from a large height, you won't die. To climb up ledges or vault over low obstacles, aim with the guns, and jump to avoid the climbing actions.
